The Girl In The Green Skirt.

Yesterday I was sitting around trying to think of what to do. Since school  has been out, I'm finding it hard to keep myself busy. After a while I realized that I had enough fabric left over from another project to make a skirt. (I'll be posting about the first project that I used this fabric for in the future.)

Ahh my trusty sewing machine.... Actually it's my moms... haha. I just repainted my desk, so I thought I'd so you a sneak peek at it. ;)

This is the pretty fabric that I used. I love bold colors!

First I measured where I needed to sew. It turned out that it was exactly the width and length I needed.

Time to sew up the sides!

Since I didn't want it to be too fitting, I attached some elastic and sewed some darts in the front as well.

Next it was time to hem and sew the waistband.

Here's how it turned out! I must say, I'm rather pleased with it. : )

Awkward....

I thought you needed to see 3 pictures in the same position took get the full effect. haha

So, what do you think? Have an awesome day!
