Pinterest Love: Dream Closet, Shoes

Yes, these shoes are kind of a summer or spring shoe, but they are just too pretty not to share.

This blue is one of my favorite colors... The leopard print inside adds a cute affect, also. :)

Bows,bows,bows... How could a girl not love bows? They definitely are a perfect touch to these adorable shoes. And the lace is an elegant touch as well.

My feet feel warm just looking at these shoes... These would look amazing with a cute skirt and tights.

I bet you didn't guess these are rain shoes, did you?  I would hope for rain just so I could wear these.. Well, that is if I had them.... :P You can find these cute shoes from Anthropologie here

Wearing White in the Winter

Ever hear your mom tell you not to wear white after Labor Day?? Well, I have good news. That old fashion rule no longer applies! I mean it make sense to wear white in the winter, snow is white and what says winter more then snow? I personally love the look of a white skirt and colored tights. So bring out your white clothes this winter and who cares what the fashionably uninformed says. ;)

P.S. This rule applies to white shoes too. :)

Have a great day ya'll!

Taylor Swift - 'Ronan' - Stand Up 2 Cancer

"Ronan" is dedicated to a 3-year-old boy who died last year of neuroblastoma. Taylor wrote the song after reading the blog of Ronan's mother, Maya Thompson, who is credited as a co-writer.  Warning: Eyes may become teary....

Goodies from Cali and AZ

This past week my mom went to visit family in AZ and CA and brought back some souvenirs for us.

Would you like some chocolate rocks? They taste like m&ms :D

My brothers got suckers with real scorpions in them!! Would you eat it?

Peach Pie

This past week my brother and I made a yummy peach pie. We also love the show Psych : D
here's the recipe (I found it on allrecipes.com)

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) package pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
  • egg, beaten
  • 5 cups sliced peeled peaches
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Line the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate with one of the pie crusts. Brush with some of the beaten egg to keep the dough from becoming soggy later.
  3. Place the sliced peaches in a large bowl, and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix gently. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Pour over the peaches, and mix gently. Pour into the pie crust, and dot with butter. Cover with the other pie crust, and fold the edges under. Flute the edges to seal or press the edges with the tines of a fork dipped in egg. Brush the remaining egg over the top crust. Cut several slits in the top crust to vent steam.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes, until the crust is brown and the juice begins to bubble through the vents. If the edges brown to fast, cover them with strips of aluminum foil about halfway through baking. Cool before serving. This tastes better warm than hot.

DIY Nails: Wild side

Apply Base coat.

                                                                     Paint all nails pink.
Then paint top half of nail white.
Then Paint black zebra stripes on white.
                                                                      All finished!

A day at the lake

                                             My brother fishing. :)

DIY Nails: Flower Power

For these nails I used colors from Kiss and L.A. Color.
                                 Always apply base coat first.
                               Then Paint nails white.
Once again you will use your pencil to make dots on your nails.
Using the green polish make dots like leaves with the pencil.
Then make a yellow dot in the middle.
To make the rest of the flower put 6 to 7 dots around the center. Now cover your nail with flowers! :)
                                                        All done!
These nails are really easy to make, so give it a try!

Butterflies!

                                     The bottom of the butterfly
A while ago my mom found some caterpillars on her plants. We put them in a container and waited for them to turn into butterflies. Unfortunately, only one made it.... :( But here is what the one looked like. :D
